New Beginnings
New Beginnings Debt Consultants have developed a Debt Relief program that has helped people from all walks of life attain their financial goals. We continue to meet the needs of our clients through the evolution and adaptation of our debt-elimination and Consolidation programs. In the ever-changing Debt Relief industry, it is important to have someone by your side who will work for you and your interests, and not the creditors. Through a brief telephone consultation, our consultants and Legal Team experts can determine a Debt Consolidation program that will fit your needs and budget.
The process of seeking assistance will lead the individual to creating a plan of action. An evaluation of what obligations, how much, and why money is owed will allow the consumer to understand their situation better. This will also allow the individual to determine which Debt Relief program is best suited to meet their needs.
What To Ask Yourself Before Choosing A Debt Consulting Company
-
1)Why should my family place our financial trust in your organization? Does your Consultant make you feel comfortable?
-
2)Is your company locally owned or do you operate a Franchise of a company from a different Province?
-
3)Does your company try to place you into a new high interest loan as part of a credit rebuilding or debt consolidation program? High interest loans may place you in a worse situation than when you started.
-
4)Does your organization represent my interest in the Bankruptcy process or are you a Trustee who represents my creditors? Although it may seem as if a Trustee is representing you in the process, the Trustees primary objective is to maximize the amount of funds available to your creditors. -
5)Does your company provide real samples of successful Debt Elimination Programs?
-
6)Does your company provide real testimonials from past clients who want to tell their story?
-
7)What are your fees? Are there set-up and/or monthly fees? Get a specific price quote in writing.
-
8)What are the qualifications of your counselors? Are they accredited or certified by an outside organization? If so, by whom? If not, do you want somebody who has not been properly trained dealing with your creditors?
-
9)What services do you offer? Does the organization offer a range of services, including budgeting courses? Avoid organizations that push a debt management plan that you are uncomfortable with.
-
10)In addition to helping me solve my immediate problem, will you help me develop a plan for avoiding problems in the future? Does your consultant help you re-establish your credit?
Services
New Beginnings consultants represent their clients in two primary processes:
-
- Informal Proposals
-
- Debt Consolidation
In the Informal Proposal process, clients have the means to pay their creditors the minimum amount owed each month but are on, what we call the "never-ever plan". Being that it will take years to pay off the debt and at the end of each month, there is no money remaining for savings, investments or leisure. In this case, one of our Legal Experts will contact the creditors on behalf of the client and in most cases eliminate a significant portion of the balance owed with real Debt Relief.
In a Consumer Proposal or Debt Consolidation program, clients are typically behind on paying back their debt to their unsecured creditors. In this case, a New Beginnings debt consultant will assess the situation, gather the necessary information and documentation, and present the client to a Licensed Trustee who will administer the Consumer Proposal and represent the Creditors. Results vary, but in most cases, our consultants can obtain up to 80% of Debt Relief. With a Consumer Proposal the client is able to Consolidate the majority of their debts, avoids Bankruptcy, and is afforded the opportunity to make a manageable, no interest monthly payment over a period of time, usually between 36-54 months
At the end of these processes, however, it should be noted that our relationship does not end. New Beginnings also offers to their client's budgeting classes as well as credit rebuilding. We understand that we live in a credit-driven culture. However, through a well-managed, realistic budget strategy and credit rebuilding, provides our clients a new lease on life and a New Beginning.
